Sydney, Australia

After browsing through my checklist, I have too many things in mind. too many things to write, too many things to dig thru, too many things blog on..

but somehow too little time!!

So pls forgive me, I'll start with things that is not happening yet.. so, less to be blog on.. hi hiii

Now I'm working on the VISA. There are 2 options for Australian Tourist Visa :

1. eVisitor
2. Electronic Travel Authority 976

[refer : http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/tourist/676/ ]

The eVisitor is FREE... but... only for eligible passport holders from these countries :

The list below are eligible passports. These are citizen passports issued by the following countries.

Andorra
Austria
Belgium
Bulgaria

Liechtenstein
Lithuania
Luxembourg
Malta
Monaco
The Netherlands

So Malaysia people, don't dream to enter for FREE ay! haha.. [demn, I didn't think about this VISA thingy upon ticket booking]

OK so now we go to the second option, the Electronic Travel Authority 976  or ETA (Visitor) (Subclass 976).

Who is this ETA (Visitor) for?

An ETA (Visitor) (subclass 976) visa is designed for people who are outside Australia and want to visit Australia for holidays, tourism, recreation or for informal study.

How much will this ETA cost?

There is no visa application charge. A service charge of $20 applies.
See: Visa Charges ( 85KB PDF file)

What does this ETA let me do?

You can stay for up to three months on each visit within the validity of the visa. ETAs are valid for 12 months from the date of grant, or for the life of the passport if the passport expires less than 12 months from the date the ETA was granted.

Repeat visits

An ETA is not designed to allow repeated extended stays in Australia. If you want to spend long periods in Australia for tourism purposes, you may want to consider applying for Tourist visa (subclass 676) or an alternate visa that suits your purposes.
See: Tourist visa (Subclass 676)

REMEMBER if you are entering Australia for Medical treatment or just Transit, u have to apply for a different visa okay!!
