Bonjour Paris...

Blessed again with a Paris trip after my previous trip in 2012. It's CIGRE at Palais Des Congress. 7 of us from TNB and a total of 11 from Malaysia. All of us stay at Hyatt Regency, Porte Malliot

Saturday and Sunday was Marnee La Valle (outlet mall) trip. Took a reserved taxi for €290 (10 of us). We could have got cheaper if we take taxi (maube around €100++ one way) and of course much much cheaper by subway. But taxi is a better option if you shop till you drop. He he

Eiffel tower visit is mandatory and of course my favourite spot are to take metro (subway train) to Champ del mars and Trocadero.

I went also to Montmarte.. a cathederal with very nice view of Paris. Remember..

SOUVENIRS HERE ARE THE CHEAPEST!!!

But eiffel keychains you can still buy from the guys selling near eiffel.. bargain is a MUST with them. But they can be very pushy if you don't buy.

Galleries LaFayette and Printemps is also a must stop if you are looking for latest branded item. Cheap?

Expensive items are CHEAPER!

LONGCHAMP.. LV.. CHANEL.. etc.

In between Hyatt Porte Maillot and Arc de Triomphe, there are many bike shops.. oh my.. i went all crazy!

Want to go to LIDO for a "cultural dance" show? Go to "George V" stn. U may find 50% off ticket at the booth near Notre Dame.

Forgot to mention. Notre Dame can be accessible  from many subway stations.. i dpnt know which one is the nearest.. maybe Cite, maybe St Michel.. it depends. Where you are from and where you wamt to go. And owh.. there is a nice ISTANBUL HALAL RESTAURANT just outside / near Notre Dame. I ♡ it !

De Lourve... of course. The glass pyramid. The meseum that keeps Da Vinci's Monalisa. I get to see it finally. And they has opened Islamic department. Awesome

Turtle sanctuaries and hatcheries at Cherating

We are here at Cherating, Pahang.. 4 hours journey from KL via the LPT.

 

The Hotels :

 

We coose to stay at Impiana Cherating. I love the resort style and not to mention, all hotel rooms are sea facing! the rate wasn't too bad either.

 

Aisyah SRKIP stayed at Eastern Pavilion. I must try one day.

 

 

The turtles :

 

These babies are 2 hours old.. nature says only 1 turtle from 1000 eggs laid will survive until adulthood. .

 

Alhamdulillah we have this special program here in cherating where all eggs were brought to sanctuary... kept in hatchery for about 45 days until hatching, then released to the sea... at night (to reduce the risk of being eaten by birds)

 

How awesome is that!

Cherating Turtle Watching

So we finally are doing this long-awaited turtle watching along Cherating Beach.. Pahang.

 

Couple of important notes for those interested to see turtles in Cherating..

 

1. Book your hotel early. So many hotels along Cherating beach. Walk-in price are pricey

2. The turtle sanctuary is located just beside Club-med Cherating. No public transport here.. get travel agent or maybe a chartered taxi

3. The sactuary is only open on Tuesday - Sunday.. closed on Monday.. 9.30am until 4.30am.. makw sure u arrive between this hours

4. If you want to see turtles.. book through agent.. he will meet you somewhere or maybe pick you up at the hotel. Normally the meeting time start at 9pm. The price for 1 adult is RM30 and rm15 for kids

5. Peak season for turtle watching is until October 



Trip back to KL - THE COASTAL TRIP

Friday - After an awesome visit to pasar pagi kuala besut.. we decided to go back to KL early.

We left Besut at 11am.. heading to Cherating. The plan is to spend the night in Cherating and visit the famous turtle sanctuary.

But of course.. as usual.. pit stops.

12pm Pantai penarik.. the legendary sotong celup tepung

4pm stop over at syahman/anim and adha@jerk parents hse at kemaman.

6pm Ir. Azmi/norli parents hse nearby for durian feast

7pm Checked in at Impiana Cherating.  We've got the last room available.. that is superior deluxe. The actual rate was rm440.. corporate rate at rm417.

We have to call the agent for tonight's agenda...

Sat - of course hotel stay without pool fun is incomplete.
Impiana hotel's pool is very nice. .. suitable for children and adult too.

We went also to the beach and back to pool. Crazy!

checked out at 12pm.. met my forever friend cik amie.. have great lunch with her at the lobby..

Then we left Cherating at 1pm.. hope for a smooth journey back to KL

French family

An awesome day today. On our way back to Besut from Kota Bharu we saw a family of 4.. struggling with their 2 adorable offspring in the heat searching for the bus station to Jerteh. They were just arrived from Perhentian at the Kuala Besut jetty.

We offered them help to send them to Jerteh as we know there's no way they can find a public transport during this festive season. The kids screamed happily when their mother said they will come with us.

Samuel, the 6 y.o was clearly super tired carrying his bagpack and 10 y.o sophie (is it sophie??!) was red!

They offered is to come to their house in Paris next time we go to europe.. well I wish..

So that's my story for today..
