So 2016 has come to an end...
Did I achieved what I targeted for?

I was trying to find my resolutions but now I started to doubt that I actually prepared one ! Ha ha

By the way.. this wasn't the best year but I feel blessed all the way. Thank u Allah for giving me such strength to go thru every hurdle in my life... as a student.. worker.. 'single' operating parent... it's hard.. no doubt.. but yeah.. I went through it nice and sound.

May 2017 brings more luck and happiness in our lives. InsyaAllah

Bukit Gambang Resort City (BGRC)

Short but enjoyable weekend with family this week. Right after picking up kakak from Kem Tahfiz at Beranang, we drove straight to Gambang. Supposed to take only 3hrs max but due to Friday afternoon traffic, it took us almost 5 hours.

Via LPT, there are 2 ways of exiting Gambang. Shorter Road is one exit before Gambang (was it Maran? I forgot). Gambang exit will require you to turn back heading to KL.. Doesn't take too long from toll exit. Maybe 15 mins top.

For peace of mind, take the extra 10 mins to use Gambang exit..  Less Kampung Road. . And safer I guess.

So, we arrived BGRC.. Buyo already checked in for us earlier. 10pm.. Picked up the room key and doze off..

What are the tips here???

I booked twice via the website. Same price via Booking.com

There are 2 resorts: Carribean and Arabian. Arabian a bit expensive. But I didn't see much difference from the outside.. In fact it is located further frok the lobby and breakfast area.. So Carribean is fine!

Room is pretty large.. But...

1. TV needs upgrade. LCD pls.. CRT is dinosaur
2. Breakfast is pretty old fashioned. It's just an open area with low range of menu... Quality, variety and taste

I paid RM 240 for room and bfast..  And RM350 for package.. Room include 2x combo adult ticket to safari and waterpark, and breakfast.

Walk in discounted price is RM65 for adult combo, RM45 for kids combo.

So, neeh.. Package price only ssved me RM10..

And in fact. Student price with matrix card only cost RM28 for waterpark and RM30+ for safari.

Conclusion...  room package price is not that "valuable" value..

We loved the waterpark.. Safari somehow needs a lot of improvement.. We love the animals though

Batu Feringghi, Penang Island

It's been a while since I came here. Feringghi has always been the place that I like. It's the night life... Walking along the night market.. Massage.. Sport beach.. and all

Holiday Inn Resort is one of the best hotel here along Feringghi beach. Other choices are such as Golden Sands, Hard Rock Hotel, Bayview, Parkroyal etc.

Holiday Inn has 2 buildings, the Beach side and Feringghi tower. Additional RM145 is applied if you already booked Feringghi tower but wish to move to Beach side. All rooms here (Beach side) are sea view. Wide windows, beautiful ambiance.

Breakfast are complimentary for kids with 2 paying adults. There's also Kids club, you can leave your kids playing here if you wish.

We tried the facial, massage and foot reflexology. It's very very nice. Price from RM35 /30mins

Hello Penang: 11th Anniversary trip

Earlier this week, hubby asked me whether I want to go Penang for a 3d3n road trip. You know I never say no to anything related to holiday and travel right?  Ha ha..  so he booked Holiday Inn (we were considering also Golden Sands Shangri-la) at Feringghi beach.. 

He booked only 1 night as backup plan if the hotel is not as good. I was not to happy with this arrangement at first..  But Allah almighty, He knows best..

Now I'll tell you what I like about Penang..

1. Georgetown... Old buildings, Bukit Bendera, nasi kandar line clear
2. Feringghi beach.. Night walk, nice hotels, restaurants, extreme watersport
3. Gurney drive.. Pasembor at padang merdeka, G hotel, Gurney hotel

KL night out

Gara2 polluted Semenyih River, we went out and ended up checking-in in the heart of Kuala Lumpur - the Bukit Bintang area. Never thought of doing as such as I am kind of "had enough" of KL after years of facing KL traffic.

It is not bad though and I am now recommending my friends who haven't come here to KL to stay here at the BUKIT Bintang area (a.k.a Starhill)
